How often did you have ideas for a project in your mind that you thought were perfect? And how many times have you failed to bring that to reality because it wasn’t that perfect?😅

Everything is possible in the realm of ideas and imagination. And anything can be moulded according to the tiniest and most specific details.

However, we live in this reality where “imperfection” is the base rule for everything, but we tend to forget that, right?

Let’s think for a second here - if the first iPhone created was “perfect” - as we heard from many people after they stayed in lineups for hours to get one.

But why are they still releasing new versions? And with more than a dozen new ones? Well, because perfection is an idea, and that idea is not fixed and set in stone forever. It’s a continuously evolving idea that will keep changing with us and how we perceive our reality.

Things evolve because we use them. We put them to the test in different situations in our life. Then, we can analyze and judge what worked and what needs improvement. But we can still enjoy using that item even with its flaws.

And it’s the same with us.

I love to aim to be perfect, to be the best I can, but that won’t stop me from trying new things (or doing old things in different ways hehe), no matter how imperfect it will be.

And you won’t believe it, but ballroom dancing is a great tool to help with that. Every time you dance, it’s a chance to try new things and probably make many mistakes. It’s part of life.

But that won’t stop you from pressing on and, most importantly, from being able to enjoy this moment, even if it’s not as perfect as you want it to be!

Allowing yourself to try is a great skill to learn (or relearn? 😜). We did that in the past as kids, right?

Allowing yourself to make mistakes is vital to life because, I think, that’s the only way to truly learn.

Break these heavy chains of perfectionism, and let’s enjoy the journey of life by dancing a lot and laughing even more about our successes but especially about our failures. They tend to make the best stories! 💃🕺
